STUDENT CATALOG

The proposed program of study is (CNA) Certified nursing assistant students 2025, which is defined as entry-level healthcare worker who provide basic medical care and daily assistance to patients. They work under the supervision of licensed nurses. The objective of the program is as follow: Maintaining professional accreditation status by meeting all requirements. Providing an education that reflects the mission and goals. Providing a well-rounded curriculum by adhering to the current needs of the community. Offering educational activities by using all educational resources. Keeping up to date by participating in continuing education with the latest educational and technological innovations. Develop assurance and confidence in performing basic nursing tasks. Recognize their role in the health care system and becoming effective team members. Enhance interpersonal skills to maintain professionalism and respecting others. Interacting with other healthcare professional and the community. Enhance students critical thinking abilities, to take charge of their own learning and continue professional development. Students will complete quizzes, view online videos and take an exit exam. Students must pass the exit exam with an 80% or better to be eligible for the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Certification exam.

All prospective Candidates must:

  • General 16 years old be in high school or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidate must complete a state-approved CNA training program which usually includes classroom instruction and clinical practice.
  • After completing the training, candidate will need to pass a competency exam to become certified and pass a criminal background check to become a CNA

Objective

    • Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting.
    • Assisting with ambulation and transfers.
    • Measuring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
    • Providing basic wound care and skin care.
    • Administering medications (as per scope of practice).
    • Feeding patients.
    • Turning and repositioning patients.
    • Implementing safety precautions to prevent falls and other injuries.
    • Recognizing and responding to emergencies.
    • Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
    • Understanding and applying principles of infection control.
    • Understanding and upholding patient rights, including the right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
    • Respecting the patient’s preferences and autonomy.
    • Communicating clearly and effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Using appropriate verbal and nonverbal communication techniques.
    • Documenting patient information accurately and completely.
    • Developing positive and respectful relationships with patients.
    • Demonstrating empathy, compassion, and patience.
    • Understanding the importance of cultural sensitivity.
    • Practicing hand hygiene and other infection control measures.
    • Using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
    • Understanding the modes of transmission of infectious diseases.
    • Recognizing and reporting signs and symptoms of infections.
    • Understanding the importance of isolation precautions.
    • Understanding basic human anatomy and physiology.
    • Recognizing normal and abnormal findings.
    • Understanding common medical terms and abbreviations.
    • Recognizing and reporting pain.
    • Understanding basic pain management techniques.
    • Understanding basic nutritional needs.
    • Assisting with feeding and hydration.
    • Understanding the limitations of the CNA’s role.
    • Knowing when to seek assistance from other healthcare professionals.
    • Understanding the legal and ethical responsibilities of a CNA.
    • Recognizing and reporting abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
    • Understanding the needs of patients with cognitive impairments, mobility limitations, or other special needs.
    • Understanding the needs of dying patients and their families.
    • Providing comfort and support to patients and families.

Program duration, Tuitions, Fees and cancelation/refund

The Certified Nurse Assistant is a 8-week program. Classes and Lab Mon/Wed/Thurs (5:30pm-10:30pm)

The full refunded is granted if officially withdrawal occurs before the second day of class. No refund is granted thereafter. (Refund does not include registration fee)
